Today, in the city of David, the Savior, Christ the Lord, is born for you
We say to all the religious of the Order, young people in vocational process, the members of the Fraternity of the Pious Schools, all those who share our mission and all the people who live and walk with us: MERRY CHRISTMAS!
This is our sincere wish for all. We wish you a deep, holy and joyous celebration of the extraordinary event we commemorate these days: God is one of us, shares our condition, dwells among us, and fulfils – overflowing them – all the hopes of mankind.
Christmas places us before the big questions of our life and before the unique responses that lead to real life. At Christmas we learn to hear the news of God, like the shepherds; to become seekers, like the magicians; to host and make grow the Good News, like Mary and Joseph; to experience the fullness of the heart like Simeon; to rediscover the urgent call to peace, located in the nucleus of the announcement of the birth of the Redeemer; to proclaim – magnificat – the love of God for each one of us; and like Calasanz, to discover in the poor child the clearest sign of God’s mercy.
Christmas helps us to understand where the key of our life and of our communion is, and where to look for the clues that will move us to the fullness of the Piarist life that we look for and dream of.
We wish you, with all our heart, to live these days with deep joy and thanksgiving to God.
