GRACE AND PEACE OF GOD OUR FATHER!
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
Today, August 25, 2017, we celebrate the solemnity of Saint Joseph Calasanz, founder of the Pious Schools and Father of our Calasanctian Family. With deep joy, we celebrate Calasanz in the context of the Jubilee Year, which the Church has granted us and invites us to live.
“Children and young people need to have distributed them the bread of piety and letters, the poor still call and convoque us, the society asks to be transformed according to the values of the Gospel, and the preaching of Jesus must be carried to all peoples and all nations.”
With these words, Pope Francis invites us to renew our commitment to the Piarist mission and to continue, day after day, giving the best of ourselves for the dream of Calasanz.
This, and no other, we want to be our message of congratulations on this day of Calasanctian festivity: let us renew our commitment to the mission, our educating vocation, our religious identity, our quest for fidelity. Let us say again a confident and committed YES to the extraordinary project that God inspired Calasanz to live and that continues to change the lives of so many children and young people.
From Rome, from the House of Saint Joseph Calasanz, dressed for the feast and thanksgiving to God, HAPPY DAY OF OUR HOLY FATHER!
May the Lord bless you and hold you on the road, and grant you to live those provisions that made holy Calasanz.
