TO ALL THE RELIGIOUS OF THE ORDER
TO THE WHOLE OF THE PIOUS SCHOOLS
Dear brothers and sisters:
On these special days, we celebrate all the mysteries that gave us new Life: the Supper of Jesus with his own, in which the Lord institutes the Eucharist and entrusts to his disciples the ministerial priesthood and proposes service and love as a way of life; The saving Passion of Jesus, which brings the Cross all our realities and transforms them by love; the longing wait for Life and the deep joy of the Resurrection at the dawn of the first day of the Week.
The news of the Lord’s Resurrection breaks all the disciples’ expectations, as do our own. It gives a new answer, as unexpected as it is longed for. And from that experience, everything is new, and everything takes on new meaning. This is our faith.
From this faith, Calasanz made his decisions and worked hard in the construction of his Pious Schools. All of us, who partake of his charism and share his dream, celebrate these days the raison d’être of our vocation, our life, and our mission.
We are aware of the moment in which we live, and perhaps that is why it is more urgent than ever to proclaim together that the Life we are given is stronger than the difficulties we encounter. We are, and we become Piarists to announce to children and young people that there is an answer to their questions and a horizon to walk towards: the Kingdom of God.
In that hope, we congratulate each other and wish each other a Holy and Happy Easter.
To all the Piarists and all the people who walk along the trails started by Calasanz, our best wishes in this celebration of Easter.
