“Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in sight of all the peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel.” Lk 2, 29-32

On February 2, World Day of Consecrated Life, the Piarist brothers Fabrício Dias dos Passos and Kossi Pierre Batcho Kadote made the solemn vows in the Order of the Pious Schools, and the religious Breno Pereira Gonçalves and Deibson Gouvêa pronounced the vows, for the first time, adding to Christ’s follow-up the lifestyle of the Piarist Family. Also the Piarist Juniors, Rudy, Jean Luc, Peter, Heyder and Ivomar renewed the vows for one more year.

The Eucharist, whose liturgy celebrates the feast of the Presentation of Jesus, was presided over by the Provincial, Fr. Javier, and concelebrated by the Piarist religious of Brazil, in the Nossa Senhora das Graças Church, in Governador Valadares, where members of The Piarist Fraternity of the presences of Belo Horizonte, Serra and GV, educators of the Ibituruna School and of the Social Center Itaka-Piarists, religious, friends of the Piarists, and the Christian Communities of the parish were present.

Fr. Javier exhorted all the participants to transform life, so that God may be in us, acting in us, acting ourselves in the same plane. He told us that on that day we celebrated the Day of Consecrated Life, we should have the look of God for all the brothers. The He reminded to the professed of the orientations of the Piarists Constitutions, the observance of the baptismal promises, the simple style of living poverty, obedience, the practice of charity and the dedication to the education of children and young people, preferably the poorest.
