The Province of Poland shares the great joy for the First Profession of two Novices: Łukasz Fabijański and Karol Mystkowski. The ceremony took place on September 12, 2020, on the day of the Feast of the Sweet Name of Mary, in the Piarist parish church dedicated to St. Joseph Calasanz in Rzeszów. Despite the pandemic, Piarist Fathers and Sisters, family and friends of the newly professed participated in it.
The two are alumni of our schools: Łukasz de Poznán and Karol de Elblag. Łukasz chose St Paul, and Karol the Baptist as his name of religion. Fr. Provincial Mateusz Pindelski, in his homily said that when God tries to change man, he changes his name. This was the case in the life of our Holy Father who, after many experiences, after a period of searching, forming the Pius Schools, was transformed inwardly, which demonstrates his own signature, so he began to call himself Joseph of the Mother of God.
During the same mass, the juniors renewed their simple vows: Arkadiusz Niewęgłowski, Tomasz Świtała, Szymon Kawała, Krzysztof Świderski, Maciej Lewczuk, Jan Furman, Bartosz Cielecki, Dominik Zmarz, Jakub Urbaniak and Wojciech Józefek. Tomasz will spend his year of experience, which in our Province we call “professorium“, in Bolesawiec. Paweł Pastuszyn renewed his simple vows on 11 September at Szczuczyn in Belarus and will remain in Kraków.
On 11 September, Aleksander Wysiecki and Piotr Skarżycki of Poland and Martin Bezák of the Province of Slovakia began their training in the novitiate.
