In November, the young Piarist religious of the Piarist presence in New York received the Piarist ministries and the lay ministries of acolyte and lectorate. On November 8, in the Annunciation Parish in Manhattan, the Piarist and parish communities celebrated the reception of the Piarist priesthood by Brother Jorge Ramirez, Sch. P. and the lectorate by Brother Abner Gonzalez, Sch. P. The institution of these ministries took place during the Eucharistic celebration presided by Very Reverend Father Fernando Negro Marco, Sch. P., Provincial Superior of the Pious Schools of the United States and Puerto Rico.

On Saturday, November 21, Brother Christian Santiago, Sch. P., received the Piarist ministry of preferential attention to poor children, from the hands of Father Provincial, during the Community Mass celebrated in the chapel of St. Helena Parish, in the Bronx. The following day, Sunday, November 22, Brothers Christian Santiago, Sch. P., and Juan Sebastián Manrique, Sch. P., received the ministry of Lectorate in the Mass presided over by Father Provincial in the parish of St. Helena.

At the end of the liturgical celebration, the Provincial Superior thanked God for the confirmation of the brothers in their priestly formation and motivated the young people present to give a generous response to the call that God is making to them in their lives.
