On Saturday, October 23, the Piarist Synodal Process officially began, responding to the call of Pope Francis for all members of the Church to walk in communion, participation, and mission in the search for the will of God. And it began with a Eucharistic celebration presided by our Father General, Pedro Aguado, in the church of San Pantaleo in Rome, next to the tomb of Our Holy Father, Joseph Calasanz.

Father General said in his homily that “We do not begin today a synodal journey. We have been walking this path all our history. But today we begin a process of discernment about our own journey, to review what we live, to share our searches and to propose new options.”

He also focused his reflection on three verbs that he wanted to propose to help us understand the path we are called to follow: include, listen, and walk.
