On May 13, 2022, the Province of the USA-PR was filled with immense joy with the solemn profession of our Brothers Abner Gonzalez, Mexican by origin, and Christian Santiago, Puerto Rican.

The celebration took place in the church of St. Helena, Bronx, NY, before a concurrence of religious brothers who came from the various communities of our large province. Both presented their lives before the Risen Lord in the Eucharist presided by the Provincial of the USA-PR, Fr. Fernando Negro Sch. P.

In addition to this presence of Piarist religious, there were members of the families of both brothers, as well as religious from other communities, professors from the Major Seminary in New York, and a large attendance of faithful from our New York Piarist presence: St. Helena, Bronx, NY, and Annunciation, Manhattan, NY.

May the Lord continue to be the center of their lives in the midst of so many children and young people who are longing for the bread of education and of the Gospel. This will be the true foundation for the Holy Spirit to raise up many holy Piarist vocations who will collaborate in the building of the Kingdom of God, in a renewed Church that responds to the urgent needs of the world in which we live.

Congratulations, dear Brothers Abner and Christian! May your fidelity to the Lord be protected and guided under the mantle of Mary, Queen of the Pious Schools, and the intercession of our Holy Founder, St. Joseph Calasanz.

Fr. Fernando Negro Marco Sch. P.
