In the last 4 days, the Kikonka Generation has reflected on the disruption in Calasanz and the Pious Schools, and we have been able to discuss how to collaborate in this process of the Pious Schools Going Forth, in line with the keys of life of the Order.
We have also played a football match, after the week full of talks and a dense schedule… we have attended a concert prepared by the various groups of young people of the parish of Saint Pierre, as well as the celebration of the patron saint and national feast of the Congo, with a 4-hour mass in Congolese rite, full of rhythm, dance and joy.
We ended this 1st week with a visit to the Sisters of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who welcome malnourished children, in Kisantu, and to the cathedral of the diocese.
We again thank for the magnificent reception in the Prenoviciate of Kikonka, its rector, Fr. Marcel, the master of prenovices, Fr. Florent, the other Piarists of the community, Fr. Milingui, Bro. Tertulien. The work of the prenovices, John and John Kennedy, is immense. All together make a great team.
