The young Piarist Srikanth Balusupati, of the Vice-Province of India, made his solemn profession in the chapel of our Bangalore Juniorate on April 22. His profession was received by Fr. General. Srikant was accompanied by his family, who traveled expressly from his home in Godhavarikhani (Telangana state), as well as by the Piarist community of Bangalore, some religious from other communities and people working in the house. Current restrictions on meetings and celebrations did not allow for more numerous attendance.
Fr. General articulated his homily in three major proposals: “here I am”, “apostolic courage” and “day by day”. Fr. Urbán, Vice-Provincial, addressed a very affectionate word to Srikanth, inviting him to live the vocation in fullness.
The feast continued with a fraternal dinner and with the deep joy of all present. Congratulations, Srikanth, and thank you for your vocation!
