Sharing good news to our brothers and sisters continues even the lockdown is going on due to this pandemic situation affecting humanity globally. The different communities of the Vice-Province continue to share the mission of the Church and the Order amidst this time of crisis.
Fr Victor C. Dellaban Sch. P. shared his expertise as part of the on-going formation of the leaders from different Filipino Church Community of Mie Prefecture in Japan. On May 2, 2020, the “Benkyoukai” (or the study group) focuses the study on the basic Catechism of the Church and at the same time, deepening their knowledge on the Sacred Scriptures, Church History and Tradition.
Fr Victor said, that “although it was the first time for everyone to do online study, it offered an encouraging result, i.e., they want to continue to strengthen and deepen their faith during this pandemic.”
On the other hand, Fr Roberto Dalusong Sch. P., in-charge of vocation in the Vice-Province, organized an activity entitled ‘Piarist Vocation Direction Online Program’ this is for the aspirants of the Order to update and guide them through different formations.
On May 4, 2020, Fr Danilo Mutia Sch. P. gave an inspirational sharing about his vocation story. They prayed the “Crown of the Twelve Stars” as part of their every session invoking Our Lady of the Pious Schools to intercede and inspire the aspirants to consider this way of life.
Also, some other communities gave their inspirations to the people by having online Masses since the beginning of the lockdown.
Our community in the Holy Family Parish headed by Fr Wilmer Samillano Sch. P., helped the people to strengthen their faith as they had their procession of the Blessed Sacrament within the jurisdiction of the parish.
Many people have been spending more time on their own but it does not mean that our mission also stops.
We believe that we need to be creative in keeping our faith alive especially during this crisis moment by using the new technology at hand.
