The reports continued in the second part of the first day of the 5th Advisory Council. The General Council of the Fraternity, represented by Alberto Cantero, emphasised the links that unite the Fraternity with Itaka-Escolapios. There is an institutional commitment to work together, even if not all demarcations participate in Itaka-Escolapios, and he pointed out some of the certainties and challenges that still need to be overcome along the way.<\/p>\n
The last presentation of the day was given by Igor Irigoyen, General Coordinator of the Itaka-Escolapios network, who presented the Executive Committee’s analysis of the current state of the network based on the objectives of the strategic plan currently in force for the period 2021-2027.<\/p>\n
In the final minutes, Joseba Alzola, Head of the Itaka Escolapios Network Communications Team, presented to the participants the proposal for the network’s new image, which will be unveiled in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
The first day ended with a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr Javier Aguirregabiria.<\/p>\n

Second day of the 5th Advisory Council of ITAKA Escolapios<\/strong><\/p>\n After a prayer prepared by the General Council of the Fraternity, the Advisory Council of the Itaka Escolapios Network held its second day of meetings. The first meeting was attended by the coordinators of the network’s general teams to take stock of the three years of work in their respective areas: Ander Mijangos, responsible for resource management, Constanza de las Marinas for awareness-raising, Mayte Ram\u00edrez for volunteering, Joseba Alzola for communication and Alberto Cantero for training.<\/p>\n In their assessment of the work carried out over the last three years and the current situation, they highlighted elements such as an increasingly interconnected economic activity, the development of the Educa platform, the international meetings of Itaka-Escolapios volunteers, the need to publicise the work of Itaka-Escolapios in society and the resources available for training.<\/p>\n The presentations of the general teams concluded the plenary session. The second and third sessions of the day were developed through group work for dialogue and discussion on everything heard so far. The first group work was organised in heterogeneous groups and the second according to the role of each participant: General Congregation and Superiors of the demarcations, General Council of the Fraternity and representatives of the fraternities; and those responsible for Itaka-Escolapios in the network and in the demarcations.<\/p>\n In the fourth and final session of the day, Carolina Paredes, representative of the Presidency of the General Congregation of the Fraternity, encouraged an exchange on the work carried out in the groups. The groups highlighted the main strengths they see in Itaka-Escolapios and expressed their concerns about the task they need to develop, especially in the internationalisation of the network, in the promotion of Itaka-Escolapios in each demarcation and in the role that the Order and the Fraternity play in Itaka-Escolapios.<\/p>\n In this way, all the participants of the Advisory Council were able to comment and share the echo that the presentations they had heard so far suggested to them, which had as a fundamental theme the role of Itaka-Escolapios as a place of participation and mission in the Pious Schools.<\/p>\n The day ended with the Eucharist presided over by Fr Pedro Aguado.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
