{"id":119004,"date":"2025-04-03T18:08:45","date_gmt":"2025-04-03T16:08:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/scolopi.org\/eleves-et-educateurs-lors-des-journees-piaristes-deurope\/"},"modified":"2025-04-03T18:20:55","modified_gmt":"2025-04-03T16:20:55","slug":"students-and-teachers-at-the-european-piarist-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scolopi.org\/en\/students-and-teachers-at-the-european-piarist-days\/","title":{"rendered":"Students and teachers at the European Piarist Days"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><em>Music and emotions at the Piarist Days \u2018Horizons of Hope\u2019<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the Piarist Days \u2018Horizons of Hope\u2019, which took place on 17, 18 and 19 February at the Escola Pia Nostra Senyora, music played a special role, thanks to the sensitivity and talent of three young students in their second year of performing arts in the upper school.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Noa Guill\u00e1n (vocals and guitar), J\u00falia Mallol (vocals and piano) and Cristina Veenhoven (vocals and guitar) gave a moving performance with songs of their own composition. One of them, the result of their research project, represented the effort and passion they have put into their learning process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through the music, which was sung alternately in Catalan, English and Spanish, they managed to touch and connect with the audience and show that art is a universal language that can convey hope and beauty.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every chord and every word reflected the spirit of those days: confidence in the future and in the talent of young people who continue to build paths of light and hope with their creativity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>EsPIArdenyes: Colla Sardanista of the Piarist School of Balaguer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In September 2023, the Piarist School of Balaguer launched a new school project aimed at involving the entire school community and promoting Catalan culture, especially sardana.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It all started with one hour of Sardana dance per week for primary school pupils in the 2nd cycle, with the aim of preserving this traditional dance, language and culture. Enthusiasm and motivation gradually led to more and more pupils showing an interest in continuing to dance Sardanas and practising them outside of school hours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This initiative gave rise to the school&#8217;s first Sardana dance group, EsPIArdenyes, which has taken part in several competitions in the province of Lleida and has even won a number of prizes and awards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year, the primary school Sardana groups EsPIArdenyes (5th and 6th grade) and EsPIArdenyetes (3rd and 4th grade) will be dancing at the Terra Ferma Sardana Group Championship for the second year running.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EsPIArdenyes&#8217; Sardana project not only deals with curricular aspects, but also combines body language, collaboration and the transmission of Catalan cultural heritage, helping to create links between family and school.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In short, the experience of living to love what we do and who we are.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>PFI cookery students<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Training and integration programmes are one-year courses within the Catalan education system aimed at young people between the ages of 16 and 21 who have not finished school. These courses are designed to open the doors to vocational training while learning a trade. The courses include general subjects such as maths, communication, social studies or vocational orientation, as well as a workshop component or specific subjects that combine theory and practise. As part of this course, students also have the opportunity to complete internships in companies in the sector such as hotels and restaurants. In this case, we had the opportunity to offer a catering service with the PFI students who are training to be service assistants for catering and kitchen and with the PFI students who are training to be service assistants for hotel and gastronomy. This type of activity allows us to put into practise everything we learn and work on in the classroom.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight:
