The “Pilgrims of Hope” gathering brought formees from all around India together for an intensive two-day program celebrating the Jubilee year 2025. The event, held on October 31 and November 1, 2025, was a robust blend of spiritual reflection, intellectual formation, and community fellowship. The Aroor Community served as the gracious host, managing the demanding logistics of the event, including providing all meals and breaks for the participants.<\/p>\n
The gathering began early on October 31st with breakfast at 8:00 am. The formal program was kicked off at 8:45 am with an essential ice-breaking session led by Brs. Shento, Gibbs, and Blesson, designed to unite the diverse group. This was immediately followed by a formal welcome speech from Fr. Rayison. To build camaraderie, the first group sharing for self-introductions was skillfully managed by the Masters of Ceremony, Brs. Anok and Xavier, with assistance from group leaders.<\/p>\n
The spiritual highlight of the first morning was a Holy Mass, celebrated by Fr. Jackson. This was followed by the first major formation session of the gathering, “Class I,” which was presented by Fr. Joseph Kunnel Sch.P. After the class, participants broke into smaller groups to reflect on the topics discussed.<\/p>\n
The afternoon schedule was packed. After a group photo, organized by Fr. Stalin ,the community enjoyed its first round of video presentations, with the Torpa and Aroor formation houses showcasing their work. The spirit of friendly competition came alive during the first volleyball match of the event, refereed by Fr. Jackson and Fr. Abhilash. The evening continued this theme, with more video presentations from the Mantharamputhoor, Sulthan Bathery, and Bangalore houses.<\/p>\n
As night fell, the focus returned to prayer. The Juniorate community led a Holy Rosary during Eucharistic Adoration. Before supper, the groups gathered again for the “Harvest of the day,” a critical time for sharing and processing the day’s most meaningful moments. The day officially concluded at 10:30 pm, with the lights-off bell rung by the Aspirants from Aroor.<\/p>\n
The second day, the Solemnity of All Saints, began before dawn with a 5:30 am wake-up call from the bell ringer. The formees gathered for a profound morning prayer session led by the Prenovices, which included the Crown of the twelve stars, the Litany of all Saints, and meditation.<\/p>\n
Following breakfast, the day’s formation continued with “Class II,” presented by the renowned singer, Fr. Bibin. This was followed by group work focused on sharing insights from both classes.<\/p>\n
The central event of the Solemnity was a solemn Holy Mass. The Mass was presided over by Fr. Francis Sch.P, with Fr. Stalin Sch.P delivering the homily. The celebration was a full community effort: Sacristans from Aspirants Aroor prepared the altar, the Junior choir provided<\/p>\n
the music, Prenovices served as readers, Aspirants from Mantharamputhoor led the intercessory prayers, and Aspirants from Torpa served at the altar.<\/p>\n
The afternoon was a celebration of community. A special session was held to honor the formators. After lunch, the various formation houses began preparations for the evening’s entertainment, while the Department of Sports organized a lively football match. Before the cultural program, the Torpa Community led an evening prayer with the Holy Rosary.<\/p>\n
The cultural events were a highlight of the gathering, with each house presenting a 10-minute program. The showcase featured a dance from Torpa, a mime from Aroor, a drama from Bangalore, another dance from Mantharamputhoor, and classical music from Bathery.<\/p>\n
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, recognizing academic excellence and winners from the games. The gathering wrapped up with a final sharing session, a heartfelt vote of thanks, and a final blessing from Fr. Stalin, followed by a celebratory DJ session to close the Jubilee event.<\/p>\n
