Fr. Pedro Aguado takes the floor at the beginning of the last working session of the Second Assembly to communicate the person he has appointed to complete the formation of the General Council: he will be the religious Fr. Emmanuel Su\u00e1rez, of the Fraternity of Mexico. A person with a great vision of Order, knowledge of reality and Fraternity, sensitivity to face this service and bring novelty. So with a round of applause from the attendees and great joy has been welcomed its incorporation. In this way the General Council is completed, making visible and real this shared subject of religious and laity.<\/p>\n
It is immense the gratitude to Father Javier Aguirregabiria for all that has been contributed in this six-year period, for the impulse of the Fraternity relentlessly and the availability of Fr. Emmanuel, who welcomes the appointment with gratitude and humility for the trust placed in him.<\/p>\n
The first part of today’s session has again been working in groups, to try to make concrete proposals that will assist the new General Council in defining the strategic lines for the Fraternity in the next six-year term. Rich, as always, dialogue and sharing.<\/p>\n
The significant experiences shared today have bringed us closer to Hungary, Chile, and Bethany.<\/p>\n
At the second meeting, the General Council addressed a few words to attendees very closely. It is difficult to collect in these lines everything it has said, but we offer you some brushstrokes: they have expressed their joy at the encounter of these days, for the dream of Calasanz shared among so many religious and lay people. We are experiencing a moment of hope and enthusiasm as we see the Fraternity growing, we need to take care of this precious creature, so that it continues to grow healthy and strong. The Council very much assumes a commitment to accompany the existing fraternities and all those that the Spirit wants to be born. With the experience of this online assembly the challenge of being closer is at our fingertips and we have to take advantage of it. These have been days of great joy, hope, and gratitude to God.<\/p>\n
After these words, an open dialogue has been opened, with the feeling of gratitude and joy being widespread for the days shared in this assembly.<\/p>\n
Fr. Pedro Aguado has closed this moment of dialogue with three key words: THANK YOU, SENDING AND PIOUS SCHOOLS. He has insisted that what we have done these days is putting our grain of sand into the construction of the Kingdom of God. We must be clear that there is only one center, and this is Jesus; that we have a father, to which we must know and love, which is Calasanz; that we have a vocation to be cared for; a longing that is service to so many children and young people. A great challenge to embody all this. In Calasanz’ words, “keep working for children, trust in God, stand together and do not lose joy.”<\/p>\n
And since it could not be otherwise, we end up facing who summons us with a prayer animated by the Fraternity of Poland.<\/p>\n
