It is 9:00 a.m. on a certain October 27, 2021, when the ceremony concerning the inauguration of the building of the Saint Joseph Calasanz Nursery School in Kisantu, precisely in the City of Kikonka, on the Avenue of the Nursery School number seven, in the parish of Saint Peter of Kikonka, began. The ceremony began with the speech of Deacon Gustave Munduyu who in his address thanked all those who contributed to the construction of the building, among others, Father Pedro Aguado, the Itaka Foundation and many others.<\/p>\n
“Everything is played before 6 years old”, walking, language, property, socialization, creativity, self-awareness, self-confidence. Nothing is definitely played out before the end of early childhood.\u00a0 One thing is sure: the child becomes a “big” and smaller, to the point of knowing how to do (almost) everything before 6 years old. More awake, more mobile, more emotionally mature, more intellectually nourished. Drunk at every moment by the digital era in which he was born and evolves. A ceremony rich in color, some personnel gave their impressions; in this case Father F\u00e9licien, superior of the vicariate of Congo, who in his interview explained his collaboration with Father General and also the urgency of the Piarist presence in Kikonka. Our Nursery School is a cycle in its own right, which gives more space to discovery, manipulation and sensory development, body and language. Educators are trained with well-equipped classrooms. “At three and a half years old, children need to play, we can’t ask them to sit in their chairs for six hours a day”.<\/p>\n
The Kindergarten is among the most important institutions of each Republic. Without them, the founding values of our country, Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, but also Secularism and Equal Opportunities, would only be utopian. The presence of this honor also resonates for us as the possibility of bringing a strong sign of recognition to the population of Kikonka, to the public school, which, like many of you, allowed us to grow, to blossom and to become citizens open to the world.<\/p>\n
