The teachers from the host school began the meeting with a prayer song. As it’s a custom to welcome everyone, Rev. Fr. Ashok, Vice Principal of Villa Nazareth English Medium School welcomed the gathering. As a part of the meeting, all the dignitaries and three representatives from three schools were invited to kindle the lamp. An inauguration is very important in any event. Hence, Rev. Fr. Stalin, the Vice Provincial of India inaugurated the event. And then, the fathers and teachers from the three schools introduced themselves. At 11.00 a.m., the chief guest Rev. Fr. Mathew Thengapally was welcomed by Rev. Fr. Stalin with a shawl. The session was handed over to the chief guest Rev. Fr. Mathew Thengapally. He explained precisely the qualities required for a modern teacher, and elucidated the importance of Learning objectives and learning outcomes. He concluded the morning session by explaining the levels of assessment.<\/p>\n
The meet resumed at 2:00 p. m. In the afternoon, he explained about the principles and vision of National Educational Policy. He concluded his speech by explaining the structure of curriculum. As feedback is one of the essential elements of good communication, fathers and teachers shared their valuable feedbacks about the session. The Vice-Provincial of India Rev. Fr. Stalin expressed his words of gratitude. After an hour of break, the cultural events started at 6:30 pm. The students and teachers from Villa Nazareth English Medium School, Aryanad, teachers from St. Joseph Calasanz CBSE School, Kanyakumari and teachers from St. Joseph Calasanz School, Kamda performed a magnificent dance. The first day of the meet wound up with bliss.<\/p>\n
The second day of the Calasanz Teachers Meet held on 3rd October 2022. With spirit of enthusiasm, the second day meet began at 9.00 a. m. The first part of the meet was the talks of Principals. At first, the principal of Villa Nazareth English Medium School, Rev. Fr. Shaji gave a talk on “Gamification in Teaching and Learning”. He introduced the key components of Gamification in Teaching and Learning. Secondly, the principal of St. Joseph Calasanz CBSE School, Rev. Fr. Jins Joseph gave a talk on “The Vision and Mission of Pious Schools”. He elucidated the Vision and Mission through Simon Sinek’s Golden Circle. Thirdly, the principal of St. Joseph Calasanz School, Rev. Fr. Santiago gave a talk on “Inculturation of Education and Values”. He explained it through the levels of education. The second part of the meet was Sharing of Calasanzian experience. The teachers from three schools shared their memorable experience in the school.<\/p>\n
At 2.00 p. m. in the afternoon, the teachers were taken to visit Elephant Rehabilitation at Kappukadu and Neyyar Dam at Kallikad. In the evening, fathers and teachers shared their feedback about the meet. The second day of the meet wound up with great happiness.<\/p>\n
