“I who chose you and appointed you to bear fruit, and may your fruit remain”. (John, 15,16)<\/p>\n

Between the 11th and 12th of February, catechists and educators of the Calasanz Movement of the Piarist presences of Brazil gathered in Belo Horizonte at the ITAKA Social Centre to celebrate the 7th Assembly of the Calasanz Movement.<\/p>\n

This vital moment was a rich opportunity to analyze the realities of the Presences and to reflect on the project approved in the last Provincial Chapter, which has as its central core: Jesus wants us united to be more “Piarist” and to bear much fruit, to propose and build the lines of action for the four-year period. Alex Sousa, Fr. Heyder Vieira, Fr. Deibson Gouvea, and Kevyn Alves brought the Assembly a proposal. These three dimensions will be a priority for the mission: a) adolescence and youth, b) change of mentality\/approximation of realities and c) experiences of integral education of the person. They shared them in intense group work for the choice of priorities and the construction of programming and lines of progress.<\/p>\n

To the Assembly attended: the Provincial Superior, Fr. Javier Aguirregabiria, most of the religious of the province, those in charge of the presences, animators of the Piarist Youth, the district council of the Fraternity and some guests, those in charge of the provincial teams.<\/p>\n

In a fraternal atmosphere, happy for the opportunity to meet again after three years since the last edition of the Assembly and full of hope; the Assembly was the starting point for new dreams, and the happy return to the continuity of the rich mission carried out with catechists, animators, children, adolescents and young people in Piarist realities.<\/p>\n
