The Crist\u00f3bal Col\u00f3n University (UCC) signed an inter-university collaboration agreement with the Budapest Metropolitan University, represented by Dr Attila K\u00f3vacs, dean of its Faculty of Business and, for the UCC, Fr. Sergio Fernando Hern\u00e1ndez Avil\u00e9s, vice-rector general, who expressed how pleased we are at the UCC for the signing of this agreement. He recalled that in Hungary, there is a presence of Piarist Fathers, as well as in the Christopher Columbus Study Centre and that the philosophy of the UCC is to educate integrally, to grow together, sharing fundamental values that allow students to grow professionally and humanly. “We hope that this agreement is the beginning of a long friendship and joint participation.”<\/p>\n

Dr Miriam Flores Ba\u00f1uelos, director of UCC Business School, pointed out that the agreement enables exchanges of teachers and students, opportunities for research and academic seminars, among other aspects of interest in Economics and Business.<\/p>\n

For her part, Rocio Reta Pavon, an 8th-semester student of English Languages at the UCC, read an institutional message in Hungarian, which she then translated, congratulating us for the agreement established by the UCC with the Budapest Metropolitan University. After welcoming Dr Attila K\u00f3vacs, Dean of the Faculty of Business, he said on behalf of our authorities:<\/p>\n

“At UCC, we are here to serve society inspired by Catholic principles and seeking to develop students as citizens of the world through values such as justice, respect, transcendence, solidarity and innovation. On this basis, the UCC is constantly looking for universities with the same objectives for its students, as internationalisation is of utmost importance to fulfil this vision. Although Mexico and Hungary are two countries with very different cultures, they both share respect for their traditions and believe in the value of family. Like Budapest, Veracruz is a magnificent city where your students can learn about the arrival of the Spanish in the New World. On behalf of the Crist\u00f3bal Col\u00f3n University, we thank you for your time and cooperation in working together.\u201c<\/p>\n
