On 9 February 2024, the young men Aldrin, Roland and Antonio made their solemn vows in the chapel of the Juniorate I community of the Asia-Pacific Province.
It was an afternoon in which more than seven dozen Piarists and their families and friends witnessed this decisive moment in their following of the Lord in the Pious Schools.
Among the Piarists were: all the major superiors, the rectors of the communities of the friars who have taken their vows, the General Congregation, the solemnly and simply professed religious of the Asia-Pacific Demarcation and all the juniors, aspirants and postulants of this Asian province, which this week held the first Council of Major Superiors of this six-year period.
Miguel Artola presided at the Eucharistic celebration and Fr Pedro Aguado, Father General, received the vows of the three young men. After the reading of the vow formula and the signing of the corresponding documents, the three young men were received into the Pious Schools forever by all the religious present. They embraced them fraternally in gratitude and prayer for their final commitment.
After the heartfelt ceremony, a fraternity letter was presented to a benefactor who, with his care and love for the Piarist community, had unconditionally offered his services as a doctor.
Finally, everything culminated in a delicious meal, laughter, expressions of gratitude and, as is typical for them, the countless photos that could not be missed. Thank you, brothers, for your definitive commitment to the service of children and young people, as Calasanz has done.
