We concluded the academic year with the third meeting of the teams of pedagogues from the provinces of Bethany, Catalonia and Emmaus. In a dense and intense day, the team from the province of Betania presented the organisation of the province since its foundation and the very interesting project of affective-sexual education that they have begun to introduce in the schools of the province in the upper primary level. There is so much to share, so much to learn. Many thanks to the Betania team!

Later, Carles Gil i Saguer, General Assistant for Europe, focussed in his presentation on integral sustainability in the Piarist service: “We think of the present with the challenge of sharing our educational treasure with future generations, aware of the need for accompanied transmission and the survival of the Piarist project. In the future, what belongs to us, what is Piarist, will have its full meaning. Three indications for the times to come: Creativity, the ability to change in the face of adversity and to build together.

We are aware that we need to go a step further in this rapprochement, in recognising the different presences and in the desire to walk together for the educational mission. Does that make sense? Is it possible? Where does the ICCE stand? It is not an easy task to move from reflections and good intentions to the concrete, to the possible realisation of a project or a Calasanctian pedagogical platform that will be a resource for all our presences. It is not an easy task, but it is a challenge that stimulates us on and to which we must respond.

During these three meetings, we have noticed: a growing enthusiasm, a common project that makes perfect sense in terms of institutional sustainability, and a need for transversality when “they”, the children and our young people, are at the centre of our mission.
