A joyus ceremony took place on 24 August 2024 at the Piarist Church of St. Ladislaus in Nitra. Our two candidates Michal and Marek, after a year of novitiate, took their first vows in the Order of the Pious Schools and so from that day there are two more Piarists in Slovakia.
The Holy Mass was celebrated by Father Provincial Stanislav Bujdák together with the Piarist confreres of the Slovak Province. On the occasion of the feast of St. Joseph Calazans, the founder of the Order, this Holy Mass was celebrated in his honour.
After Michal and Marek recited the prescribed formula of vows, signed them with their own hands on the altar of the Lord, together with the Father Provincial and the witnesses, they were given the habit as a sign of their consecration, which they wore for the first time today.
After the Holy Mass, we remained in fraternal communion also at the common festive table together with the Fathers and Fraters, the members of the Piarist Fraternity, the collaborators of the Nitrian community and also the families of our new confreres.
