“You are not alone in that”, is motto of 15th evangelization tour which is organized annually under guidance of Slovak Bishops Conference named Godzone. During 6 days, in which two were in Czech Republic, attended streak of concerts more than 31 000 people, and we as Piarists in Slovakia were involved.
Organisational team consisted of more than 350 people into which nine of our students and piarist christian community members, made it through casting into different serving positions. Preparatory process took whole month of weekend trainings and one whole week of final rehearsal, which in the end joined fr. Juraj Ďurnek as well, and accompanied team whole week of service.
Each city, there were local volunteers, and in Banská Bystrica, we had 18 lay Piarists helping with evangelization. We came to the program as well with approximately 100 high-school students from Prievidza to concert in Žilina, and around 50 youth from Nitra went to Slovakia capital – Bratislava.
“Even serving in various possitions, we as Piarists youth were always able to find each other in the team” testify one of volunteers of whole week tour from our school. This cooperation of our order in Slovakia is one of the greatest achievements in local Church, but is it certainly not the only one we maintain in a spirit of synodality.
