For several months now, the Youth and Pious Schools General Team has been organising the Youth Council of Pious Schools by inviting 8 young people from different provinces of the four continents to some of our meetings. On 11 January we had our second meeting, which started with a prayer and a welcome where we could get to know each other better.
We are Jon Calleja (Emmaus), Guilherme Freitas de Oliveira (Brazil-Bolivia), Juan Gonzalez (Mexico), Roberto Meak (Asia-Pacific-Bethany), who acted as translator, Juan Carlos de la Riva (Emmaus), Jacek Wolan (Poland), who organised the meeting, as well as Ana (Bethany), Daniela (Venezuela), Esti (Emmaus), Juan Manuel (Equatorial Guinea), Leinyuy Gildas (Cameroon), Aldrin (Philippines) and Seba (Poland).
We reviewed the team’s activities by looking at the Roadmap that guides us in the team’s work. Then we worked on the preparation of two main topics: the Youth Forum, which we will celebrate with a face-to-face meeting in 2026, and the Charismatic Campaign, which we want to propose in the coming Lent to prepare us all for the Jubilee of the Piarist-style Church.
We enjoy communion in diversity and dream of building schools of piety where young people are true Piarist subjects who listen to the Spirit.
