The Piarists of the Emmaus Province (Andalusia, Aragon, La Rioja, Navarra, Basque Country and Soria) want to organise a vocational discernment campaign with young people during this Lent as part of the Jubilee Year.
A few weeks after the Vocations Congress of the Spanish Church, the international team of young Piarists and Pious Schools, the Piarists, are making this proposal to promote the spirit of vocational discernment and give young people the opportunity to discover God’s call and the meaning of their lives full of hope.
We know that discernment is an important process in everyone’s life, especially in youth, as important decisions must be made that will shape the future. For this reason, it is necessary to study it in depth and to be accompanied by people who can help us with their wisdom.
From Ash Wednesday, 25 March (a day of prayer for Piarist vocations) to Holy Week, materials and activities have been proposed so that young people can live Lent with this attitude.
All information and resources can be found at the following link: https://scolopi.org/campana-cuaresma/
Aims of the campaign:
– To familiarise and recognise the current principles and techniques of discernment with young people.
– To help young people become aware of the choices they make in their daily lives so that they can make them with maturity, faith and hope.
– To foster personal and spiritual growth to address their vocational needs and concerns.
Target audience and campaign material:
The campaign is aimed at young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who are at a stage of personal development due to their age and who participate in Piarist life through our schools, parishes, Calasanz Movement affinity groups or non-formal education projects.
In addition to the general campaign materials (a poster and a motivational video to attract young people), two decision-making workshops will be organised for groups of 4 to 20 young people. Finally, personalised support will be offered to young people who wish to continue after the workshops, along with other additional materials to work on the topic.
