Today we remember St. Pompilio Maria Pirrotti (1710-1766).
Piarist by vocation and decision, he made of his life a path of encounter with God and with his neighbors whom he always tried to help and console: in the classroom with the students, in the sacramental attention in the churches of the Order and in preaching.
Accompanying the spiritual process of so many religious and lay people, St. Pompilio Maria stood out for his close guidance impregnated with mercy and kindness. In an era marked by rigor and norms, he opted for gentle compassion capable of bringing everyone closer to the love of God.
His intercession is essential today in the Pious Schools, in the Church and in the world, in need of the balm of harmony.
