For one month between June and July, three Mexican volunteers from the Cristóbal Colón University in Veracruz took part in an experience within the Emaús Province, where they met young people from the Piarist presences in Logroño and Vitoria-Gasteiz. They discovered the proposals of the Calasanz Movement through its camps and volunteer initiatives, as well as the social projects carried out by Itaka-Piarists.

Three other volunteers from the same university joined the Piarist presence in Salamanca, participating in the Casa Escuela Santiago Uno project of the Province of Betania, which is committed to the integration of hundreds of young people.

This initiative is part of a new university volunteer programme, for which the participants had been preparing in recent months. It seeks to offer young people from different countries within the Pious Schools a formative, solidarity-based and intercultural experience for one month in the Piarist spirit.
