“Only in Christ can we attain fullness,” said Provincial Fr Mateusz Pindelski during the Eucharist of solemn vows of two juniors of the Province of Poland, Bartosz Cielecki of the Holy Spirit and Jakub Urbaniak of the Presentation of the Lord. The celebration took place on 11 October 2025 in the parish of the Mother of God of Mercy (Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn), in Kraków-Wieczysta.

Present were family members of Bartosz and Jakub, friends, religious and laity from Piarist presences—especially those where they carried out their pastoral experience—Piarist Sisters and sisters of other congregations, priests from their parishes of origin, and fellow students. The church was filled with the enthusiasm and prayer of the participants in the Piarist Youth Meeting.

To introduce the newly professed, we cite the words of Father General Carles Gil i Saguer in his letter:

“Bartosz, many in Bolesławiec and in our parish of Wieczysta keep a fond memory of you, as a religious with deep relationships—first with God and also with people. You value freedom and simplicity (and, as we know, also screwdrivers), but above all you seek authenticity, clarity and truth. In you the concrete and the contemplative come together: closeness to the young; a love of the mountains—where one’s gaze rises to the greatness of God; and a passion for physics, where you seek to understand the order and beauty of the universe. All this makes you a well-rounded Piarist: with your feet firmly on the ground and your heart dwelling in heaven.

Jakub, in Poznań and now in Wieczysta, many know you for your inquisitive mind and serene spirit. Your creative, curious intelligence (capable of wonder at life—from a plant to the most unusual animals) lives alongside a depth of soul that inspires peace, goodness and prayer. Your mind observes in detail, and your heart knows how to welcome and to listen—and both meet in the presence of God.

Bartosz and Jakub, in your unique stories the same call shines forth: to serve God in children and young people, to live in community and to be witnesses of hope in the spirit of Calasanz.”

The Province of Poland, present in four countries—namely, besides Poland, in Belarus, Ukraine and the Czech Republic—currently has, not including the newly solemnly professed, four juniors who are carrying out their initial formation in Kraków: Łukasz, Jarosław, Dominik and Piotr.

Piotr Możdżeń, the youngest, made his first profession on 12 September in Elbląg, where he had carried out his novitiate. The celebration took place in the church of Saint Florian, next to our school. Piotr chose the religious name Jesus, the Good Shepherd. At this very important moment for him, he was accompanied by members of the pastoral ministry of the Sisters of the Holy Family, Nazareth Sisters, and by his young friends, within whose circles he discerned his Piarist vocation.

The day before, on the eve of the Order’s titular feast—the Most Holy Name of Mary, 11 September—Stanilav Balianbegan his aspirancy, coming from the parish youth ministry of Zolochiv (Ukraine). He will carry it out in Kraków, accompanied by Fr Łukasz Czub.
