“Go and mend the nets” – Pope Leo XIV
The digital continent and artificial intelligence are features of contemporary culture through which we can foster encounter, the proclamation of the Gospel and the formation of those who accompany adolescents and young people.
In the light of the exhortation Christus Vivit, the final document of the Synod on Synodality and the recent Jubilee of Digital Missionaries, for this Lent we have organised a free online course offering basic and experiential formation for any pastoral agent. The aim is to learn how to develop digital evangelisation plans in order to ensure a living presence of the Church on social networks and to know how to make use of artificial intelligence tools for pastoral mission with adolescents and young people, from a faith-based perspective.
Target participants:
– Catechists, animators, pastoral agents and those accompanying communities, youth groups, parishes or movements.
– Communication teams created to promote digital evangelisation.
– People interested in understanding how current AI techniques and tools can assist us in our daily pastoral work.
In the online sessions we will explore:
– The first session on 21 February will address ethical principles and moral responsibility in digital pastoral ministry and artificial intelligence, with Mons. Lucio Ruiz, Secretary of the Dicastery for Communication of the Holy See. We will also present the new RPJ AI, specialised in pastoral resources for adolescents and young people. This session will include simultaneous translation into English.
– In the sessions on 28 February and 7 March we will focus on how to develop plans and tools for digital evangelisation.
– In the sessions on 14 and 21 March we will address how to make use of artificial intelligence tools at the service of pastoral ministry.
Registration: FREE. Open until 15 February 2026.
