The Pious Schools of Mexico have lived with joy and faith the generous response of our Piarist brother Isaías Carreño Martínez of Jesus of Nazareth.
On Friday, 13 February, in the facilities of the Instituto Fray Pedro de Gante, A.C., in the city of Apizaco, Tlaxcala, he made his Solemn Profession in the company of the Piarist religious of the Province, his family members, friends, teachers and the students of the Institute, which was an important witness in the life of the school. The celebration was presided over by Fr Fernando Hernández Avilés, Provincial Superior, who encouraged Isaías to live his consecration with dedication, passion and fidelity, centred on Jesus our Lord. After the celebration, we shared a meal in an atmosphere of fraternity.
The following day, in the Basilica of Our Lady of Mercy in Apizaco, Tlaxcala, our brother Isaías Carreño received the Order of Diaconate from Msgr Julio César Salcedo Aquino, M.J., Bishop of Tlaxcala.
In his homily, Msgr Julio invited Isaías always to be a servant of God in the midst of the people entrusted to him, according to what the diaconal order offers to the Church.
We give thanks to God for these events in our Province, and we entrust the life and vocation of Isaías to our holy Father Joseph Calasanz and to the Virgin of the Pious Schools.
