Dear brothers and sisters:
We celebrate the solemnity of Saint Joseph Calasanz. We join the Christian community to celebrate our faith and thank God for the gift of Calasanz for the Church and for the world, in particular for children and young people, first and foremost to the poorest, and for the Pious Schools.
We are in the middle of the Mercy Jubilee. And to the doors of the celebration of the Calasanctian Jubilee Year, with which we commemorate jointly Calasanz and his work, the Pious Schools. For that, our greeting on the day of Calasanz is very simple and cheerful; it is joyful: celebrate with profound joy Calasanz, fraternally share the feast, renew your Piarist vocation, live the solemnity of Calasanz in spirit of mission, thank the Lord for the gift received through the charism of Our Holy Father.
We invite you to live this celebration with attitudes of mercy: from forgiveness and reconciliation, from the commitment to children and young people, from the desire to continue to contribute to the construction of the Pious Schools.
May this day, August 25, be a day of prayer and joy for Calasanz and our vocation.
