For his work at the Piarists in St. Thekla and in Maria Treu, Armin Dolesch received the papal blessing from the General Delegate of the Piarists in Austria and parish priest of Maria Treu, Fr. Jean de Dieu Tagne Sch. P. Mr. Dolesch received the Order of St. Stephen of the Archdiocese of Vienna from the Head of the School Office of the Archdiocese of Vienna, Mrs. Andrea Pinz.

During a small ceremony, the architect was honoured for his achievements and services to the Order. At the beginning, a festive mass took place in the Piarist Church in Maria Treu. Afterwards, in the summer refectory, the administrator of the Austrian Province of the Order, Mr. Thomas Pawel, spoke about the various changes made to classes, corridors and buildings by the architect. The Piarists trusted Dolesch and went along with his ideas and changes. For his planning, Armin Dolesch did not only consider the wishes of the Piarists. He also consulted the children and encouraged them to depict their perception of school in drawings.

These work processes resulted in lasting changes. For example, new school furniture was developed, the school entrance of St. Thekla was relocated, new areas for the children were gained or a comprehensive concept for the renovation of the primary schools was implemented.

The Piarists would like to express their sincere thanks for the tireless efforts of architect Armin Dolesch.

For decades, architect Armin Dolesch planned and supported the Piarists in St. Thekla and Maria Treu (Vienna) in their renovation work in the schools. This resulted in pedagogical (structural) innovations from the corridors to the classrooms. On 14 October 2021, the Piarists thanked “their” architect in a small celebration.
