Last January 28th, Gabriel Munita and Kristopher Rojas made their first religious profession in the General Delegation of the Pious Schools of Chile.

After their novitiate in Cochabamba, Bolivia, they pronounced their religious vows in the framework of the Christian Piarist Community of Santiago. The basilica of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, the Spanish-American School church, was chosen for this celebration. They joined the group of simply professed religious who, together with Jhonny Pérez, who professed the previous year, are now three in the Delegation.

The first profession is significant for a religious, as it is the beginning of a new stage of discernment in the discipleship journey of a believer. In the framework of a Vocational Culture, where we are all invited to discover our vocation and send to the evangelising mission of Jesus, a new stage of the General Delegation of Chile opens.

We invite you to pray and encourage the new vocations that continue the legacy of St. Joseph Calasanz in the world, especially in Chile. For more than 130 years, they have witnessed the presence of the Pious Schools to bring “piety and letters” to children and young people in need.
