On May 13, 2023, Deacon Abner Gonzalez Bonilla was ordained a priest by Bishop Felix Lazarus in the parish of the Annunciation, where he is currently serving.
The newly ordained priest was accompanied by Piarists from different communities of the Province of USA-PR, family members, Mos. James Massa, seminary professors and colleagues, and members of the two Piarist parishes in New York.
The following day, Fr. Abner celebrated his first Eucharist in the same parish.
