In October, Father Pedro Aguado, Father General, began the sectorial canonical visitation of the entire Order, this time in the European circumscription, accompanied by Carles Gil, Assistant General for Europe, first in Poland, then in Slovakia and Hungary.

In Poland, the International Congress on Stanisław Konarski took place in Warsaw on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of his death. This congress was well attended by Piarists, numerous students and academics from Poland and other countries.

The next day, the 30th anniversary of the new Piarist School in Warsaw was celebrated. The celebrations began with a Eucharistic celebration with all the students and a lively homily by Fr Peter. This was followed by various activities suggested by the school’s director, Bogdan Dufaj. The most important was a play dedicated to Onufry Kopczyński, a Piarist contemporary of Konarski with a remarkable life, who gave his name to the school.

In Warsaw, there was also a meeting of the Young Adults of the Province, accompanied by Piotr Jałako, who leads this team.

Finally, in Krakow, there were meetings with Fr Mateusz Pindelski, Provincial of Poland, the Provincial Congregation, the Juniors (Krzysztof, Bartosz, Jan, Jakub, Łukasz and Dominik who is working on his return to the Order) and the Prenovice (Piotr) and their formation teams. Among their many qualities, the culinary one is particularly noteworthy.

Stanislav Bujdak in Trenčín and then in Nitra, with the Provincial Congregation, the juniors (Marek, Simon and Martin), the two novices (Michal and Marek) and the formation teams. Also in this province, we enjoyed the gastronomic skills of the formandi.

In Hungary, the visit began with a meeting with Father Viktor Zsódi, the Father Provincial. This was followed by a visit to Szeged to meet the Province’s novice, Gabor, and the formation team. In Budapest, there was a two-day retreat with the young adults and meetings with the juniors (Gabor, Menyhért, Csaba), the pre-novice András, his formators and the Provincial Congregation.

At Sunday Mass, Father General dedicated some words of encouragement for a fulfilled life to the last two years of the baccalaureate at the Pious Schools in Budapest.
