The Solemn Profession of Brother Jardel Machado, Sch.P., brought together the Piarist community of Belo Horizonte. On 2 August, the Piarist Presence of Belo Horizonte experienced a moment of deep emotion and meaning. In the San Judas Tadeo Community, belonging to the Piarist Parish of San Marcos, the Solemn Profession of Brother Jardel Ricardo Machado, Sch.P., was celebrated.

The celebration was presided over by the Provincial Superior, Fr Javier Aguirregabiria, Sch.P., and was attended by religious, family members, friends and members of the community. During the ceremony, Brother Jardel definitively professed his vows of obedience, chastity, poverty and total dedication to the Piarist charism: a lifelong commitment marked by dedication to the mission of educating and evangelising, following the example of Saint Joseph Calasanz.

The moment was marked by gestures of faith, gratitude and communion. At the end, the group Sonoro Despertar prepared a special tribute, expressing with music and affection their joy for this new stage in Brother Jardel’s vocational journey. Children, adolescents and young people—the priority public in the Piarist mission—showed affection and admiration, recognising in him an inspiration to dream big and achieve great goals through education, faith and culture.

The Solemn Profession not only confirms Brother Jardel’s vocation; it also strengthens the commitment of the Piarist community of Belo Horizonte to live and share the values that sustain Calasanz’s mission: to form “good Christians and honest citizens” with love, closeness and hope.
