The current pandemic situation impacted our schools as well as our churches. All the schools across Slovakia are now closed and all public gatherings including church services are banned. According to this situation, all the activities of the Slovak Province have been transitioned into the online space to spread hope in this uncertain time.
Our schools have adapted and they started to communicate with students via the internet, our teachers are preparing materials for the study, making the teleconferences and online testing. Pupils, that don ‘t have their computers, could use our school’s computers.
Similarly, we have transitioned celebration of the Holy mass – we broadcast them on Facebook and Youtube twice a week – Sunday Mass for children and Friday Mass aimed at youth together with the worship prayer.
All these activities have a high reach so far – the Sunday Mass is usually watched by around 2000 followers. This is also a way to bring hope and joy in these difficult times.
