During the Corpus Christi long weekend, from 18 to 22 June 2025, the annual Piarist Animators’ Course took place. Forty-three young people arrived in Krakow from Bolesławiec, Elbląg, Łowicz, Poznań, and two places in Rzeszów, namely the Piarist school and the parish run by the Piarists, as well as from the Piarist presences in the city of Krakow: the Akacjowa school and the Wieczysta parish.
The main topics were presented by the following mentors: Sister Joanna Jurga, Piarist – training specific to animators; Father Radosław Boboń – psychology and group interaction; Father Jacek Wolan – sharing groups; Father Łukasz Czub – prayer and liturgy. The workshops included: dances, taught by Łukasz Fabijański, junior; a workshop on Calasanz, led by Fr. Grzegorz Misiura, who also clarified another topic related to child protection standards; two hours on positive discipline, led by Fr. Mariusz Rabczak; integration games, led by Sebastian Romaniak, animator; games for free time, in a workshop led by the juniors: Jakub Urbaniak, Jarosław Kuczaj, Dominik Zmarz; artistic animation led by Deacon Janusz Dudek; practical aspects related to synergy, guided by Maria Hadam, animator; and an introduction to mental prayer, led by Fr. Mateusz Pindelski.
At the end of the course, the animators received yellow T-shirts with a special “Piarist Animator” design as a souvenir. The next stages of the animators’ training, according to the programme followed in the Province of Poland, will be the evangelisation course and, subsequently, the Lectio Divina school course.
