The path of every Piarist passes through initial formation. It has three stages, each with a particular mission for shaping the heart, disposing the will and equipping the mind to serve children and young people in the spirit of Calasanz.
On 7 September this year the course began for the new group who will enter the formative stage of the pre-novitiate.
The Eucharistic celebration at which they were welcomed was presided over by Fr Sergio Fernando Hernández Avilés, Sch.P., Provincial Superior, in the Chapel of Jesus and Saint John, Apizaco, Tlaxcala.
Present were the religious community of Apizaco, the site of the new pre-novitiate facilities; the community of Piarist religious of the Provincial House; the Fraternity of the Apizaco presence; and the families and friends of the new pre-novices.
With closeness and fraternity, the Provincial invited these new young men to be generous and docile at the beginning of their journey in the following of Jesus in the spirit of Saint Joseph Calasanz. The new pre-novices, who will be accompanied by Fr Pablo Alberto Alvarado Ramírez, Master of Pre-Novices, are:

- Uriel Pacheco Tapia
- Gerardo Ramón Flores Quintos
- Dante Díaz Díaz
- Mauricio Alfaro Centeno
After the Eucharistic celebration, a festive meal was shared at the facilities of Instituto Fray Pedro de Gante.
As the Pious Schools of Mexico, we are grateful to God our Father for continuing to grant vocations at the service of children, adolescents and young people, in Piety and Learning.
We pray for their vocation, for this new stage of life. May their response be generous, selfless and faithful to the Gospel. We commend them to the care and protection of our Blessed Mother, Mary, Mother of God of the Pious Schools, and to the intercession of our Holy Father, Joseph Calasanz.
