From 16 to 19 May this year, the ‘Blessed Piarists’ Juniorate had the joy of receiving Father General Pedro AGUADO C., his Assistant General for Africa, Father Félicien MOUENDJI M. and Father Alex DJOUSSE, Secretary General.
During this canonical visitation, the focus was on people in initial formation. Fr. Pedro Aguado, Sch. P. of the Order, took the time to speak with each Junior. Fr General and Fathers Félicien and Alex then conducted interviews between the juniors of each promotion and their formator.
In addition, Father General assigned 28 scholastics to piarists ministries (Christian education, evangelisation of poor children) and ecclesiastical ministries (lectorate and acolyte). For the first time in the Order, he conferred the ministry of listening and accompanying. At the same time, he invited us to become new Calasanz who place Jesus Christ at the centre of their lives and vocation.
Father General counselled the Juniors on the secret of Piarist vocational fidelity, which is nothing other than an authentic and constant personal life of prayer.
