These are the three verbs we have chosen this year to congratulate you all on this Easter of the year 2024.

On Holy Thursday we celebrate with serene joy the institution of the Eucharist and of the ministerial priesthood, as well as the day on which the Lord, having loved his own, loved them to the end. That Love is the source of the fraternal love we are called to live.

On Good Friday we contemplate, with deep feeling, the passion and death of the Lord. The cross is for us a sign of blessing because before it was, for Jesus, the place of his generous self-giving for our salvation: his wounds have healed us.

And at the Easter Vigil and on Easter Sunday, which continues throughout the Easter season, we receive the greatest gift: Christ lives and wants you alive. And we are sent to witness Christ among the children, among the youth, in our educational and parish communities, in our religious communities, in our Fraternities, in the Calasanz Movement, in our families.

Celebrate, contemplate and witness are three verbs that summarize what we are going to live and what we are invited to share and transmit during these days.

Just as the Lord shared with his disciples his great desire to be able to celebrate the Passover with them (Lk 22:15), so we, as a General Congregation, wish you to celebrate, contemplate and witness, wherever you are, the Mysteries that gave us new Life. This is our faith: Christ lives and wants us alive.

HAPPY EASTER OF FRESURRECTION to all!

The General Congregation of the Pious Schools
