General Pedro Aguado has entrusted the accompaniment of the Chilean General Delegation to Fr. Miguel del Cerro (during the four-year period 2019-2023), and he, in turn, has appointed the Delegation Chapter.
The Chapter of the General Delegation in Chile began on 29 January 2023. All the solemnly professed religious of the four communities were present: Javier Santamaría, Alfredo Calvo, Javier Yerro, Miguel del Cerro, Aitor Bilbao, Tulio Villanueva, Janusz Furtak, Bertrand Fotsing, Fernando Luque, Michel Diouf; the three religious in simple vows, Jhonny Pérez, Gabriel Munita, Kristopher Rojas (the latter two made their first profession after the novitiate year on Saturday 28 January 2023); and two lay members of the Fraternity Leonardo Henao and Nacil Castellano. In addition, Fr. Julio Alberto Álvarez is invited to the Chapter with voice but without vote.
Fr. Pedro Aguado presided over the Chapter and gave an initial message and an analysis of reality and projection into the future. Then, after listening to the reports and reports, we moved on to the phase of discernment and decisions.
Let us entrust the Chapter of the General Delegation to God and Mary so that it may continue to be a leaven of the Kingdom of God in Chilean society.
