Fr. Pedro Aguado gave a presentation entitled “A Look at the Pious Schools” in which he reviewed the history of the Pious Schools since his election as Superior General of the Pious Schools in 2009 and emphasised how initiatives have emerged that have revitalised the life and mission of the Piarists.

The General Secretariat of An Irreplaceable ministry is organising the present course with the support of the University Cristóbal Colón in Veracruz. It is addressed to a group of 51 religious and lay people from almost all the piarist geographies involved in the school.

The aim of this course is to:

  1. Deepen the charismatic roots of the Piarist educational project.
  2. Find a common language that generates communion and a sense of belonging to the Pious Schools.
  3. Sharing reflections and meaningful educational experiences
  4. Providing tools to strengthen leadership skills

It includes a first virtual phase, a face-to-face meeting in Buenos Aires (Argentina), a third virtual phase and a final project.

The course is formulated from three essential perspectives for the sustainability of the Piarist mission: “Leadership and animation, charism and identity, innovation and quality”.

We are excited about the beginning of this new formative experience and have no doubt that the community that will be created in the group will be an energy of pedagogical renewal for our schools.
