During the Provincial Chapter, the confreres elected 46-year-old Fr. Moses KONGMI of the Mother of God as Provincial Superior. Fr. Kongmi was born on November 01, 1976 in Jakiri, Cameroon.
The newly elected Fr. Provincial made his first simple vows on August 16, 2003 in the community of Kumbo, in the former Vicariate of Cameroon; he made his solemn profession on May 14, 2010 in Futru-Nkwen, while he was ordained priest on February 12, 2011 in Kumbo.
Fr. Kongmi completed his ecclesiastical studies at the Catholic University of Yaoundé and completed his master’s degree in education at the University of Bamenda. He served the Order several times as Director of College on several occasions, rector and provincial secretary. He is currently Provincial Administrator and has been Provincial Assistant since 2019.
We pray for Fr. Moses Kongmi that the light of Christ will illuminate his ministry in leading and accompanying the Central African Province.
