During the Provincial Chapter, the Delegates elected Fr. Mateusz Marek PINDELSKI of Mary Immaculate as Provincial Superior for the four-year term 2023-2027. Fr. Pindelski was born in Krakow, Poland, in 1975. He graduated from secondary and baccalaureate Piarist School in Krakow.
The re-elected provincial made his first simple profession in 1995, solemn profession in Krakow in 2001, and priestly ordination in 2002. He completed his philosophical and theological studies at the Lazarist Theological Institute in Krakow. He continued his theological studies at the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome.
From 2000 to 2007, he was editor-in-chief of the youth magazine “eSPe.” Fr. Pindelski studied Polish philology at Jagiellonian University (Jagielloński), from which he graduated with a doctorate in humanities.
From 2007 he worked as a provincial delegate for lay formation and head of the Provincial Secretariat for the Laity. From 2009 to 2015, he served the Order as Assistant General for Italy and Central Europe and as Postulator General. For the past four years (2015-2019) he has been a catechist and Polish teacher at the same School of which he was an student.
