On Monday 16 June, at the Sanctuary House in Peralta de la Sal, Fr. Carles Gil i Saguer will assume his role as Superior General of the Order.
Fr. Carles was appointed as successor Vicar by Fr. Pedro Aguado, in accordance with number 208 of the Constitutions of the Order, and will thus complete Fr. Pedro’s term until the General Chapter of 2027.

Fr. Carles was born in Barcelona, Spain. He served as Provincial Assistant in Catalonia and carried out his ministry in the Province of West Africa, specifically in Dakar, where he was also Provincial Assistant. He has also worked as: Coordinator of the “Pious Schools Going Forth” team since its establishment in 2018. Coordinator of the Alumni group. Coordinator of the Secretariat for Economy group. General Bursar of the Order of the Pious Schools. He was also elected at the 48th General Chapter as General Assistant for Europe.
