From January 10 to 27, at the Santa Teresinha and São José de Calasanz Social Center, in Aracaju – SE, the children of the Social Center and the Piarist Youth had their Summer Camp.

The summer camp was prepared by the Piarist Youth who, during three weeks in January, developed activities on the Statute of the Child and Adolescent and several activities such as cinema, handicrafts, gymkhana, sports, dances, and games.

The objectives of the camp were: to offer the young people and children a profitable vacation, to offer a space for recreation and fun, to propose actions to exercise youth leadership, to bring the young people closer to the reality of our Social Center, to improve teamwork, to exercise school volunteering, to work on the fundamental rights of children and adolescents, to improve skills and to recognize and collect what God communicates through this experience.

It was the first time that the Piarist presence in Aracaju carried out this activity, which was positively evaluated by the young people and the staff of the Social Center. At the end of the camp, the young people received a certificate as monitors of the Itaka-Escolapio Summer Camp.
