The Pious Schools of Mexico have experienced with joy and rejoicing the generous response of our Piarist Brother Nabor Reyes Irineo, who made his solemn profession in our Order last Thursday, 23 November. The Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Fr Sergio Fernando Hernández Avilés, Provincial Superior, took place in the School of the Colegio Cristóbal Colón in Puerto de Veracruz, Mexico. The Piarists of the communities of the Veracruz presence (Sagrada Familia and Santa Paula Montal) were present, as well as several Piarists from different communities, the prenovices, the juniors and relatives and friends of Nabor, among them Mrs Cecilia Irineo Morales, mother of Nabor and his father Mr Aquilino Reyes Justo.
On Friday evening, 24 November, the diaconate ordination ceremony took place in the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Colonia Buenavista, Veracruz. The Eucharist was presided over by Bishop Carlos Briseño Arch, OAR, Bishop of Veracruz. In an atmosphere of fraternity, Nabor received the service of being a servant of God as a deacon Piarist in the midst of the people he places in his life, especially among children and young people.
We thank God for this step in our brother’s life and entrust him to the care of our Blessed Mother Mary, Mother of God.
