Yokkaichi, Japan — Kaisei College (Piarists) marked a historic milestone by celebrating its 80th anniversary of foundation with a solemn Eucharistic celebration at 10:00 a.m. in the school auditorium. The Mass was presided over by the Most Reverend Paulo Otsuka Yoshinao, DD, who joined the community in giving thanks for eight decades of Piarist education and mission.

The celebration brought together several members of the Piarist presence. Among those present were Fr. Miguel Artola, Sch. P. (Provincial Superior), Fr. Raju Antony, Sch. P. (Provincial Delegate in Japan), and Fr. Adam Kurzak, Sch. P. (President of the College and Rector of the Yokkaichi Community). They were joined by several Piarist and Salesian concelebrant priests, alumni of the school, and representatives of the local government, who highlighted the strong bonds of collaboration and fraternity.

In his homily, Bishop Otsuka expressed his gratitude for the school’s ongoing commitment to the education and integral formation of young people. He encouraged the community to continue embodying the vision of Saint Joseph Calasanz, fostering an environment where faith, learning, and service can flourish.

The anniversary celebration served as a moment to honour the school’s legacy, reaffirm its mission, and inspire students, educators, and alumni to carry forward the Piarist spirit in the years to come.
