We thank God because more than fifty young people from all the houses of the province, including many students and former students, have begun their formation in the 10th generation of the Mentor School in our house in Retiros de Mendiolaza, Córdoba. It is a great blessing to start this great project again after more than 10 years of experience.
In this first meeting, enlightened and sheltered by the figure of the Archangel Gabriel, the participants took the first steps to prepare themselves to be mentors, collaborators, animators and educators of children and adolescents in the Pious Schools, following in the footsteps of St Joseph Calasanz.
After trying to acquire the necessary skills to answer the call they received, they participated in training, courses, workshops and camps, always accompanied by daily prayer and sacramental practise.
We are especially grateful to all the collaborators who plan and organise the activities of the meetings and accompany the participants throughout the year.
We confidently hope that the mentoring school under the motto ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ will bear rich fruit in the lives of these young people and in the youngest children in all our schools, parishes and children’s homes during this Holy Year.
